Using Just In Time Inventory System

Using the just in time theory will allow inventory to be properly ordered for a production run as that item is needed. This may sound fairly simple but there is much involved due to the fact the software needs to be precise and workers need to be aware of how the system works of inventory will not be available once and order is up for production.

For manufacturers, orders need to be scheduled as appropriated for completion and must have an on time delivery to the customer. Many manufacturers implementing just in time software produce a large number of orders but this is not always the case. When an order is placed it is then figured what inventory items are needed for production, are there any on hand and what parts are to be ordered. Once the system figures out the items that need to be placed on order it then needs to figure where the items are being ordered from and what steps need to be taken to ensure the inventory will be delivered and available for the production line, no later and no sooner. If the employees are not aware of how the system works or the software implemented is a poor quality software or not configured to meet your needs; using just in time can cause a mess so choose a system that is user friendly and configured to meet the needs of your business.
